Velvet Jade is defined by its rich, jade-toned leaves with a soft, velvety texture that sets it apart from smoother varieties. The surface has a gentle depth to it — matte in some lights, subtly luminous in others. It is sophisticated without being showy. Refined without being cold.
In the tank, it grows in a slow, deliberate creeping habit. It attaches naturally to rock and driftwood, forming dense, low clusters of striking foliage. It suits foreground and midground placements beautifully. Pair it with pale hardscape to let its deep tone stand out, or group it with other dark varieties for a moody, layered effect.
