A macrophyte is a plant that grows in or near water and is either emergent, submerged, or floating such as cryptocoryne, fenestratarum, aridarum, barclaya, microsorum, aquatic mosses, ludwigia, hygrophila, fern crepidomanes, echinodorus, utricularia, and so on.
