Unlike narrow-leaf Buce varieties, Lamandau Round has small, thick, and slightly curved round leaves that grow close to the rhizome. The leaves usually appear dark green and can develop deeper tones depending on lighting and water conditions. Under aquarium lighting, the surface of the leaves often shows a subtle shimmer that adds extra visual depth to aquascape layouts.
Like other Bucephalandra species, Lamandau Round is a rhizome plant and should not be planted directly into the substrate. Instead, it should be attached to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape using thread or aquarium-safe glue. Once properly attached, the plant will grow slowly and produce new leaves that maintain the compact round shape.
