The leaves of Bucephalandra Dark Emerald are usually thick, smooth, and dark green with a strong natural shine. Under proper aquarium lighting, the color becomes deeper and more intense, especially in stable water conditions. Because of its rich emerald tone, this variety works very well in both dark-themed aquascapes and natural-style planted tanks.
Like other Bucephalandra varieties, this plant grows from a rhizome and should not be buried in the substrate. It is best attached to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape using thread or aquarium-safe glue. Once properly secured, the plant will grow slowly and produce new leaves that maintain the same compact shape and deep green color.
