Importing plants from overseas is not easy for everyone. Although it is too risky for the plants, but also the country’s regulations hard to be deal with.
Our customers come from all over the world. Some are knowledgeable and experienced with this matter, and some know nothing.
We are experienced with this matter as we are a supplier of the plant that exports all over the world. Hope we can share any important things for knowledge and education for the customers and anyone who need the information.
As the title of this article, I am going to inform you about how to import plants from Indonesia into the UK.
First of all, you have to check the UK Government website for complete information and guidance here .
I will give a resume of it.
There are two documents that you have to get, EOURI NUMBER and PEACH.
Usually, EORI NUMBER is for business. You just need to register for PEACH if you are a private person.
How to register those documents? For technically, please contact your plant quarantine. They will help you 🙂
When you are ready with the document, please move to the next step.
The next step is, you have to choose a plant seller from Indonesia and make a purchase from them. The plant will not send in the same day you place an order, but there are some times you have to wait until the plant is ready to send.
As per the Indonesian government regulation, we have to apply for the export permit from the Ministry of Agriculture, it’s called SIP-Mentan. It takes 1-2 weeks to get approval. Once the export permit is ready, the plant can be shipped. So, you need to be patient.
The plant was damaged during the trip. This is a common and normal thing, you have to understand, that a plant is a living thing. There is a big possibility they are damaged or died because we do not know what is happen during transit.
But, you don’t need to worry a lot about it. We try our best to minimize the risks that may happen to the plant with the best packing method and send the best plant.
Kindly check the UK Government website to check any updates.
